Private events at Little Brick
From 6pm to 10pm, once the café closes, Little Brick is yours: the 1902 house, the fireplace, and in summer the patio, the yard and the fire pits. For birthdays, showers, rehearsal dinners, corporate gatherings, small weddings, receptions and community celebrations.
Two ways to book the house

Up to 35 guests
The café to yourselves: the main floor, the fireplace and the house's own furniture. For dinners, showers and gatherings that want to feel like a home.
A venue fee and a food and drink minimum per person apply. We send current rates with your date.
May to September, weather permitting
Up to 75 guests
Inside and out: the café, the patio, the yard and the fire pits. For receptions, summer parties and small weddings.

Food and drink
Little Brick provides the venue, the food, the bar and the staff. Menus are confirmed with our team for your date and your guests.
A relaxed menu for casual celebrations and community gatherings: one main, two sides, coffee, tea, non-alcoholic drinks and water service. Or a cocktail-style spread for mingling, launches and receptions: a charcuterie and grazing board, three snack selections, and the same drinks.
A fuller meal for hosted dinners and milestone events: a salad or starter, one main, two sides, coffee, tea, non-alcoholic drinks and water service. Buffet or plated.

Booking and payment
Send the form or an email. Date, rough numbers, the kind of day you want.
We come back with what's possible, the current package and a first estimate.
Your date is confirmed once the deposit is in. It's refundable up to 30 days before.
Guest count and menu choices 21 days out; menu changes up to 14 days out.
We run the room, the kitchen and the bar. The balance is settled on or before the day.
Cancellations inside 30 days forfeit the deposit. Anything added on the night, drinks included, is settled at the end of the event. A 20% gratuity is added to food and drink.
Good to know
The main floor and the outdoor spaces are accessible. The upper level of the house is not wheelchair accessible.
Yes, within the house's limits: nothing that marks the building (no nails, screws, staples or duct tape), no confetti, flower petals or straw, and no open flames or real candles. Décor goes up and comes down on the day; there's no storage. Outside vendors are approved with us in advance.
Riverdale is a residential neighbourhood. Outdoor music, outdoor activities and amplified sound end by 10pm under the City of Edmonton noise bylaw. Live music is approved with us first.
Little Brick is a non-smoking, non-vaping property. Any smoking, vaping or cannabis is in designated areas only, if approved, and never at the front of the property or near the doors.
Outdoor space depends on the weather. We'll adjust the plan with you where we can, but the yard can't be guaranteed, and tents or other weather arrangements are yours to organise unless we've agreed otherwise.
Street parking in the neighbourhood. Please be kind to our neighbours.
Approved outside desserts are the one exception to our in-house food rule. bread + butter, two blocks away, also makes cakes to order.
Tell us with the final guest count. We'll do our best, though we can't promise an allergen-free kitchen.
The team at Little Brick was wonderful to work with and very accommodating. The venue was beautiful, and the space suited us perfectly.
